The Good Man Is Perished Out Of The Earth

By David J. Stewart

Micah 7:2, “The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.”

God looked and beheld that all the good men were gone from the earth. In Job's day God found one, Job. In Enoch's day he was evidently the only one who pleased God (Hebrews 11:5). In Noah's times, only Noah and his family got on the ark. After preaching for 120-years NO ONE got saved. Only eight people were spared destruction in the flood. Only Lot and his wife and daughters were spared fiery destruction, while five cities (Sodom being the most infamous) were buried under molten sulfur from Heaven.

The good man had perished out of the earth during Noah's time, during Lot's time, during Ezekiel's time. In Ezekiel's time the Lord said, Ezekiel 22:30, “And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.”

Sodom And Gomorrah Discovered, Tested And Verified

There's been fascinating archaeological discoveries made in the Dead Sea area. Video show where the city of Sodom once stood, which today is an ash heap. Research online and you'll find substantial documentation that the Biblical cities of Sodom and four other cities which God destroyed by fire and brimstone (sulphur) have been discovered. You can see videos and photos online where the cities once stood. The soil has been tested by a laboratory in New Zealand, found to be 95-98% pure sulphur. Ordinarily sulphur is only found in nature at  30-40% purity. Only extreme temperatures of 5,000-6,000 degrees Fahrenheit can purify sulphur. This is solid evidence that the Bible is true. City Remains Of Sodom And Gomorrah Found Located Beneath Sea of Pure Sulfur.

Are you saved my friend? Have you obeyed the Gospel? The Gospel (or good news) is that Jesus died, was buried and rose up three days later (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). Christ shed His blood on the cross and died for our sins. If anyone acknowledges their guilty, sinful condition and receives Christ's death, burial and resurrection as payment for their sins, they are saved. This is the simplicity that is in Christ Jesus. The Bible says that we are saved by believing the Gospel. Mark 1:15, “And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” This is not head knowledge, but heart's trust; believing that Christ died and rose again for YOUR SINS. Will you believe on the name of Jesus Christ for what He did on the cross to pay for your sins?

I get goosebumps just thinking about all these scientific discoveries proving the existence of Sodom and the validity of the Bible as God's Word. My friend, are you excited about the things of God? Are you saved (born-again)? I meet so many people who have the philosophy of Christianity, but they've never been born-again by the Spirit of God. The reason is because someone told them the way to Heaven is to have faith in Jesus, which is a false gospel. The true Gospel is taught in 1st Corinthians 15:1-4, which is the DEATH, BURIAL and RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ. There can be no salvation without the cross upon which Christ died for OUR SINS. We are hell-deserving sinners, which is where all Christ-rejecters will spend eternity (Revelation 20:11-15). Do you believe the Gospel? If not, repent of your unbelief and believe now, making the Gospel your hope for eternal life and forgiveness of sins.

Israel's Wickedness In The Old Testament Parallels America's Today

In Matthew 10:36 and Luke 12:53 Jesus quotes Micah 7:6. Jesus said that in the Last Days families would turn against and hurt each other. The prophet Micah (747-704 BC) was a contemporary of Isaiah (748-700 BC). Micah prophecies against both Samaria (capital of the northern kingdom of Israel) and Jerusalem (Judah, southern Israel) of their wickedness (Micah 1:1). Samaria was conquered in 722 BD by Assyria. Judah was conquered in 586 BC by Babylon. Thus ended the nation of Israel until 1946 when the Rothschild banking cartel (who funded Hitler's war machine through Wall Street) put Israel back on the map. This is important to know, because modern Israel is NOT the fulfillment of Bible prophecy to restore Israel.

Through Micah, the Spirit of the Lord harshly denounces the wickedness of Israel. Here is Micah 7:2-7 from the Old Testament (think of America as you read and notice the striking similarities)...

Micah 7:2-7, “The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net. That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince asketh, and the judge asketh for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth his mischievous desire: so they wrap it up. The best of them is as a brier: the most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity.

Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom. For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house. Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.”

Israel had become so wicked that you couldn't trust anybody—not a friend, not your lover, not your guide, not even your own family. This sounds like America today! Micah observes that even families in his time were slitting each other's throats. It was brother suing brother, and sibling rivalries. The son dishonored his father, and the father the son. The daughters raised up against their own mothers, and the mothers against their daughters. It was a dog-eat-dog culture! Consider today how 53,000,000 parents have murdered their children by abortion. No wonder youth today are revolting against their parents, God and proper authority. Today women wear their dresses up, and men their pants down.

The land of Israel had become filled with lewdness and wickedness. The Bible says that “the best of them is as a brier” (a thorny vine). In other words, even the best people in the land would hurt you like a painful thorn bush. That's what God is saying, that is, “the good man is PERISHED out of the EARTH.” God didn't say land; but rather, earth. The whole world was apostate. Jesus said concerning the End Times that He wouldn't find any faith. That is the clear implication of Luke 18:8, “I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” All that remained in Israel were wicked people. This was the situation during Enoch's time, and Job's time, and Noah's time, and Ezekiel's time, and Micah's time, and so will it be in the End Times.

Elijah thought he was alone, but God told Elijah He still had 7,000 men who hadn't bowed to the false god of Baal (1st Kings 19:18). I can't help but wonder how many faithful men God has today in 2012? With a plethora of false Bibles, a nationwide false understanding of repentance in our churches, and psychology rapidly replacing Biblical preaching—what can we expect from the next generation? In case you haven't notice, each generation tends to only read contemporary books written by apostates within their own generation.

Proverbs 21:30, “There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.”

This means that each succeeding generation will NEVER rise any higher than it's own spirituality. Frightening huh? I'll read the old books by Harry Ironside, John R. Rice, Dwight Moody, Jack Hyles, Oliver B. Greene and Martin DeHaan. Moreover, and most importantly, give me the old Book, the flat-black 66—the inspired and preserved King James Bible (Psalms 12:6-7)!

People have become so money-hungry (covetous and greedy). People are stooping to new lows morally, using sexually-promiscuous advertising (especially on the internet) to boost profits. It should be illegal. Proverb:19:3, “The foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the LORD.”

Judges were taking bribes in Israel to pervert justice. This is America today. How much justice can you afford? Every man hunted his brother with a net in Micah's day. In other words, everyone was trying to exploit others for personal gain. America today is a highly exploitive culture. Everything has fine print.

Big Pharma drug companies are pushing dangerous drugs on unsuspecting children, causing over one hundred thousand drug deaths each year. Some drugs are necessary, such as pain medications; but others drugs are purportedly developed for the sole intent of making massive profits. It's common knowledge that doctors are trained in schools to prescribe drugs for everything. You'll NEVER come out of a doctor's office without a prescription for some drug(s). That's how they're trained. Guess who owns the medical universities? Yep, the same people who own the Big Pharma companies!

Consider all the deceptive advertising in the U.S. today, all the trickery and fine print, and the shady manner in which companies do business.

Proverbs 28:20-23, “A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent. To have respect of persons is not good: for for a piece of bread that man will transgress. He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him. He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.”

Did you read that? The Bible is warning us about greed and the love of money, which leads to ruin (see also 1st Timothy 6:7-10). As you just read, it is EVIL to desire quick riches. You won't hear this kind of preaching anywhere these days. You'll hear the exact opposite. Nearly everybody these days is money-hungry. The Bible warns that people who are desirous to be rich without honest hard work and labor will cut your throat to get ahead. The issue here is not desiring to be wealthy through honest labor and capitalism; but rather, quick riches. It is evil to seek a gimmick; such as, winning the state lottery, suing someone with deep pockets, loan sharks, or winning it BIG in Las Vegas! These are sinful things.

I heard a professed Christian man say that he wanted to start a loan shark business when he moves overseas. That's an evil desire. At another time he said he wants to become a bartender and open a tavern. That's a dirty, immoral business built on blood-money. The man was a newer believer and needed to learn, as did Simon the sorcerer who thought he could purchase the power of God with money (Acts 8:18-24). Hopefully they both learned from their evil desires and woeful ignorance of the ways of the Lord. God hates the booze business just as much as He does sorcery!

For a piece of bread (even the smallest profit) a greedy person will transgress? The Bible calls The man who has respect of persons cannot be trusted. The Lord begins by mentioning a “faithful witness.” Proverb 14:25, “A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies.” The Bible clearly teaches that faithfulness, telling the truth and not loving money are all connected. Notice that the Bible doesn't mention greed; but rather...

Everything is backwards; everything is upside down. Doctors destroy health, lawyers destroy justice, universities destroy knowledge, governments destroy freedom, the major media destroy information, religions destroy spirituality, and Bible publishers destroy God's Word.

As more people become dishonest, there's less of a deterrent to discourage others from doing wrong. The common attitude is that it's just the way the world is today. Women have never been so lewd, rude and crude as now. They talk filthy with no manners. I heard one woman in public talking to another woman how the baby comes out, talking about her vagina like it was a kitchen appliance. Proverbs 11:22, “As a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.” It appears that the good woman is also perished out of the earth.

Jesus implied that He wouldn't find faith when He returned in the End Times. Luke 18:8, “I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?”

It's not what you're doing that gets you to Heaven, it's where you're looking. Look to Jesus...

Isaiah 45:22, “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.”
