God's Promise To Guide The Believer

Proverbs 3:5-7, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.”

What a precious passage of Scripture! God has promised to guide the believer, to those who trust upon the Lord, acknowledging Him in all their ways. What does it mean to acknowledge God? It means trying to please God in everything we do. It means seeking God's will from the Scriptures. The Holy Spirit of God NEVER leads anyone to go contrary to what is written in the Bible!

Please read carefully what God is saying to us in these Bible verses... Proverb 3:5-7, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.”

Proverb 20:24, “Man's goings are of the LORD; how can a man then understand his own way?” The Bible is the owner's manual to the human being. When all else fails, read the instructions!

Every person questions at times why things are the way they are in life, and it's easy to start to blame God for the hardships and heartaches in life; but God tells us plainly in Proverb 3:5... LEAN NOT UNTO THING OWN UNDERSTANDING!

So often believers try to figure things out; things that are way over their head. We're dealing with something and Someone much bigger than we could ever imagine. That's why someone wisely said that the word “Bible” is simply an acronym which means:

B asic
I nstructions
B efore
L eaving
E arth

God has promised to guide us as Christian Believers; but He specifically warns that we must not lean upon our own frail, limited and human reasoning. There is no way we could ever understand the greatness of the God in Whom we are dealing with (Psalm 145:3). God again warns us in Proverb 3:7... BE NOT WISE IN THINE OWN EYES: FEAR THE LORD, AND DEPART FROM EVIL! These are commands from our God.

So many people get angry at God, blaming Him for the problems and miseries in their own life and in the world; but nearly all people are wise in their own eyes, arrogant, saturated with selfishness and sinful-pride; nearly all humans DON'T fear God and DON'T depart from evil. Look at SIN CITY Las Vegas. Instead of fearing God and departing from evil, they mock God by promoting and selling evil. Look at the gay (homosexual) parades all across America. Instead of fearing the God of the Bible and departing from evil, they parade their wickedness up and down America's streets for all to see. God will not bless this wicked, decadent, demonic society. No way! No way! No way!

God promised to guide us if we will acknowledge Him in all of our ways.

The very divine being Who spoke the universe into existence with the Words of His mouth (2nd Peter 3:5), wants to fellowship with (James 4:8) you.

The Promise of Eternal Life

The Bible tells us that salvation comes only to those who enter through the DOOR into Heaven. John 10:1, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.” This door is the STRAIGHT GATE which leadeth unto life...

Matthew 7:13-14, “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”
